About Me

I am a mother to six amazing humans, a wife to one studly man, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Neurological Occupational Therapist, a life coach, a sister, daughter, and friend.

My Journey into Life Coaching

I grew up in the beautiful and tiny state of Delaware with my parents and 5 little brothers whom I love dearly.  There was a lot of wrestling and a lot of chaos and a lot of love in that home. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Exercise Science, and followed that up with a Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Utah.  Prior to going to the U, I also served as a missionary in Perth, Australia for 18 months, and married my husband, who I originally met when I was about 12 years old. In our 16 years of marriage, my husband and I have lived in 3 states and 2 countries and moved about 14 times. I have been blessed to see many places and meet many wonderful people and have seen for myself how beautifully connected we all are as humans.

I have worked as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of settings over the years, and have most recently found much fulfillment in my position as a Neurological Occupational Therapist at CognitiveFX, a cutting-edge concussion clinic in Provo, Utah. I am fascinated by the brain and how it works and the strategies that help improve its function.  I also love learning about the mind-body connection and tools that allow for improved mental health and spiritual renewal.

When I first heard about life coaching, I was skeptical—it sounded like people were paying someone to just be their friend, listen to them, and give them advice… but then I found Jody Moore, and as I listened to her podcast, I discovered that the ideas she offered as a life coach were extremely helpful and actually transformative for me.  When I found her, I hadn’t felt like my life was lacking or that my thoughts were unhealthy, but as I listened to and tried wrapping my head around the concepts she shared, I began to see my thoughts differently. It was truly life-changing.

I have been studying the brain for many years. I find it fascinating to learn about neuroplasticity, the effects of exercise on the brain, habit development, the benefits of mindfulness practice, and the mind-blowing power of conscious thinking, and I absolutely love seeing the way this knowledge and understanding has changed my life and the lives of people I’ve coached.

My background in Occupational Therapy, my time as a missionary, my experience as a wife and mother, and the years of continued study of the brain have given me the tools to help others.  I feel called to do this, and can’t even describe how much I love it and the goodness I see it bringing to people’s lives.
